The Online Clinic offers a service where you can ask a GMC registered doctor a question and enter into a dialogue with them about any medical matter (see below for patient safety exclusions). You should restrict yourself to one medical topic per consultation. Once you commence the consultation, the doctor will engage with you until suitable medical advice can be offered.
The consultation will be with a private GP. Unlike other websites offering an ask a doctor a question service, The Online Clinic can provide prescriptions and specialist referrals (if the circumstances are appropriate in the online environment).
The fee for this service is a flat rate of £30.00. If a prescription or referral is offered, further fees apply, but you are under no obligation to proceed with any additional fees beyond the £30.00 consultation fee.
This service must NOT be used for medical emergencies. If you have suffered/are experiencing any of the following:
- Head injury
- Sudden and severe weakness
- Chest pain
- Profuse bleeding
- Breathing difficulties
