The Online Clinic offers a telephone consultation service for patients interested in discussing Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). This service is suitable for woman between the ages of 45 and 55 requiring assistance with perimenopause and menopause. We can also help patients outside this age range (but not older than 60) if they have been prescribed HRT elsewhere and are seeking a more convenient way of accessing ongoing prescriptions. Patients over 60 should ideally be seen face to face.
How does the service work?
You start off by completing an online consultation form. Your answers will be reviewed by a doctor free of charge to assess your suitability for our service. If you are a suitable candidate for online treatment (and we feel you require a telephone consultation with a doctor to discuss your options), you will be given the option to pay a £59.95 consultation fee. If you proceed, an appointment will be booked in by one of our helpful patient co-ordinators and an experienced GP will then call you at a time convenient for you.
The consultation should take 20 - 30 minutes. If a prescription is considered appropriate, this can be arranged for home delivery by overnight courier from our pharmacy.
What can you prescribe?
All oestrogen and progesterone HRT preparations offered by The Online Clinic are licensed by the UK medicines regulator, the MHRA. The doctor will discuss the best options for you. Please note that we do not offer compounded bioidentical hormones at this clinic.
How soon can I have treatment?
Any prescription issued before 3:30 pm on a weekday will be delivered the following day by either DPD or Royal Mail.
How do I get started?
Click on the button below and answer the questions on the consultation form. We will contact you after your answers have been reviewed by a doctor. Most consultation forms are assessed within 30 minutes between the hours of 7 am and 11 pm, 7 days a week.
Who can use this service?
The Online Clinic HRT service is available to women up to the age of 60 who reside in the United Kingdom, Isle of Man and Channel Islands. Treatment initiation is available for patients between the ages of 45 and 55 following a telephone consultation with an experienced GP. Treatment continuation is available for patients who can evidence a prior prescription via our photo upload facility up to the age of 60.
Can you offer hormone testing?
While not specifically required for HRT initiation in the patient cohort treated by The Online Clinic, we can offer a range of hormone panels with an interpretation from a doctor. These are available from your patient dashboard after you register.
Do you offer a testosterone component?
We can offer this for patients with low libido and who have been stable on their HRT for 3 months or more.
