What is Neoclarityn?

Neoclarityn is for controlling allergic reactions and symptoms. The active compound is an antihistamine called desloratadine. It has the advantage of not making you drowsy while relieving symptoms during the day, allowing you to return to your usual daily activities and sleep pattern. It can be used for the treatment of allergic rhinitis, a condition of inflammation, specifically of the nasal passages, caused by hay fever or a dust mite allergy. Symptoms include sneezing, itchy runny nose, and itchy watery eyes.

How to use Neoclarityn

Neoclarityn is provided as a 5 mg film-coated tablet or 0.5 mg/mL oral solution. Adults and children aged 12 and older take one tablet daily and swallowed whole with water. For the oral solution, children aged 1–5 years take 2.5 ml/day, children aged 6–11 years take 5 ml/day, and adults and children aged 12 years and older take 10 ml/day. Swallow it and then drink water. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ONLINE CLINIC DOES NOT TREAT CHILDREN.

You can take your dose with or without food, although caution is advised if drinking alcohol. Your doctor will tell you how long to take the medicine for, depending on how often you get symptoms, and may suggest another treatment in certain situations. Taking too much medicine is unlikely to be troublesome but seek immediate medical advice. When missing a dose, take it when you remember; then, resume taking one dose as usual.

Who can use Neoclarityn?

Adults and children aged 12 and older (tablets) or aged 1 and older (oral solution) can take Neoclarityn. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should not take this medicine and talk to their doctor. People who drive or operate machines are advised to ensure that Neoclarityn does not cause sleepiness.

Do not use Neoclarityn if you have allergies to desloratadine, any other ingredients in the preparation, or to loratadine. People with kidney problems or seizures (or with a family member who has seizures) should inform their doctor before taking this medicine.
