What is Gyno-Daktarin?

Gyno-Daktarin is an antifungal medicine used to treat vaginal thrush.

Gyno-Daktarin contains miconazole, an antifungal agent used to treat infections such as candida.

Miconazole kills fungi by disrupting their cell membranes. This disruption leads to holes appearing in the cell membranes, causing the contents of the cells to leak out, killing the fungi or yeast.

How to use Gyno-Daktarin?

Gyno-Daktarin is available as pessaries (100 mg), vaginal capsules (1200 mg) and cream (2%).

All of these forms are inserted into your vagina; the only difference in application is the daily frequency and length of their use.

Gyno-Daktarin pessaries are inserted in to the vagina daily for a fortnight or twice daily for a week.

Gyno-Daktarin vaginal capsules are inserted at night as a single dose.

Our doctor will provide specific dosing instructions so you know exactly how to use the product.
